Our History

Prince Hall Social Friendship Lodge #42 chapter started in 1859 in York, PA. We are a proud and historic Masonic lodge operating under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge.

Honor the legacy of Prince Hall, a pivotal Figure in American Freemasonry who championed equality and education. Our lodge continues this tradition by upholding high moral standards and contributing to the betterment of society.

Our mission

Three men in formal Masonic attire standing in a lodge room. They are wearing black suits, white shirts, black ties, and aprons with blue borders. They have Masonic collars and medallions, and the two men on the sides are holding gavel staffs.

At SOCIAL FRIENDSHIP LODGE #42, we are committed to fostering personal growth, community service, and the timeless values of Freemasonry. Our members engage in charitable activities, mentorship programs, and initiatives that promote education and well-being in York and the surrounding areas.
